Apple Pay

Apple Pay allows you to conveniently make easy, secure, and private transactions in stores, in apps, and on the web. Utilize this contactless payment solution on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, by adding your preferred payment method, including credit and debit cards, to your device. When you want to pay, simply double click, tap, and you’re set. You still get all your card’s rewards and benefits – so you won’t miss out on hard-earned points or miles.

FAQ’S
1. How secure is an Apple Pay transaction?
Your Card in Apple Pay is protected by “Touch ID” and/or your device “Passcode.” For your security, when you make a purchase using Apple Pay, you must either use “Touch ID” or the “Passcode” for your device. All of your payment information will be encrypted in the Secure Element, a dedicated chip in your device.

2. Is my Card account number or other information being shared with Apple?
To deliver you the best Apple Pay experience, we will display certain account information on your device, such as data for your recent purchases, for each Card you have selected to use with Apple Pay, but not your full account information. At any time, you can turn off the display of transaction data manually within Apple Pay by adjusting the “Card Notifications” for each Card. We will never share your plastic Card number with Apple. If you have any additional questions about your device’s security features, please contact Apple directly.

3. How can I add my Card to Apple Pay?
To add your Pegasus Bank Debit Card on a supported iPhone or iPad, go to “Settings,” open “Wallet & Apple Pay,” and select “Add Credit or Debit Card.” On a supported iPhone, you can also open the Wallet app to add a Card.

To add your Pegasus Bank Debit Card to an Apple Watch, you must first pair your Watch with a supported iPhone running on iOS 8.2 or later using the Apple Watch app. Once paired, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, select “Wallet & Apple Pay” and then tap “Add Credit or Debit Card.”

*Please note that the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s only enable payments for the Apple Watch. Payments cannot be made with the iPhone 5, 5c or 5s alone.

Card Management

Card Management lets you control when, where and how your Pegasus Bank debit card is used. Manage and monitor your debit card transactions from anywhere. Access this feature from the Card Management tab within Online Banking or from the Pegasus Bank mobile app by selecting “More” in the bottom right-hand corner of the app.

With Card Management you Can:

• Turn your card on or off
• Establish transaction spending limits based on your preferences, including dollar amount, transaction type and merchant type
• Receive instant alerts when your debit card is used or exceeds the spending limit set by you
• Set parental controls and monitoring

CONTROL SPENDING:
If you’re trying to establish or stick to a budget, Card Management can help. Set spending limits for general use or specific thresholds by merchant types, such as gas, groceries or retail stores.

Going on vacation? Holiday Shopping? Simply update your transaction controls to fit your spending needs.

FRAUD PROTECTION:
A lost or stolen card is just one area of concern in today’s world where identity theft, skimming and other attacks are an unfortunate reality. Turning your debit card off when you’re not using it helps safeguard against fraud. When your card is “off”, no withdrawals or purchases will be approved. And real-time alerts keep you informed when your card is used or declined.
